I don't care if Obama IS a Muslim

Article V of the U.S. Constitution:

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

Apparently the Founding Fathers – as well as all of the states that adopted the U.S. Constitution – weren’t afraid of Muslims.

And, before the end of George Washington’s term, that lack of fear was made certain. The 11^th Article of the "Treaty of Peace and Friendship, entered into with Tripoli on November 4, 1796, and with Algiers on January 3, 1797, contains a clear statement of peaceful intent toward Islam:

As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion, - as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion or tranquility of Musselmen, - and as the said States never have entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahomitan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."

I don’t care if Obama is Muslim. I want somebody who will be less than 72 years old when taking the oath of office. I want a president who has a brain on his shoulders and can express his thoughts and policies clearly, without a teleprompter. I want somebody who doesn’t think it’s a good idea to have a permanent occupying army in Iraq. I want a president who will actually exercise due diligence before taking our country to war. The current occupier of our nation’s highest office failed miserably -- my metric is over 4,000 lost American patriots.
